SEMA 2014 – The Mega Post

Wow, we saw a LOT at the SEMA Show this year. So much, in fact, that we have decided to create a mega post to show all the truck & Jeep builds that we came across. Hold on to your seats, cause this is a big one.

Let’s start with the trucks.

Because who doesn’t like monster truck?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – Ford, please bring back the Bronco!

Okay this isn’t really a truck, but it definitely doesn’t belong with the Jeeps.

If you threw a stone at SEMA it would hit 13 lifted trucks before it hit the ground.

RAM trucks seem to be a favourite amongst SEMA builders.

Ford Raptors are awesome.

One of my personal favourites from the show was this AEV built RAM 2500. Not only is it easy on the eyes but it’s practical, something not often taken into consideration during a SEMA build.

The Vintage Vehicles

As always there were a good number of retro and vintage vehicles on display.

Beautiful 50’s Chevy truck.

Retro Volkswagen bus, these are always a personal favourite.

I don’t really know too much about this one. Its from GM and it has “Parade of Progress” written down the sides.

Mr. Chevy. This was an awesome combo deal.

Vintage Dodge delivery van.

The Quad & ATV’s of SEMA

There are always a few ATV’s and quads hanging out at the SEMA show.

K&N Polaris ATV. This thing looks like a monster.

I’m not sure I would ever take this thing 4 wheeling if I owned it – would you?

This one may be a tad bit more practical…and cheaper.

SEMA Loves Jeeps

There are always a lot of Jeeps at the SEMA Show, but this year it almost seemed as though the Jeeps were taking over. Here are some of our favourites.

The green Magnaflow Jeep Wrangler JKU. This one was decked out in trail armour and looked more than ready to tackle anything it meets off the blacktop.

The Pitbull Jeep Wrangler JK. This one looked really clean with all its red accents.

Jeep Wrangler JK, going for the blacked out look.

Bestop sporting a Jeep JK in their favourite colour

Thrasher Jeep JK going for the military grade experience.

Rugged Ridge Jeep JK 2 door.

Jeepers like flex.

Tough looking Jeep JK behind the closed doors of the SEMA Show.

Rhino Linnings Jeep Wrangler JKU getting flexed

These probably belong in the vintage section, but even vintage Jeep’s like this Willy’s belongs amongst it’s fellow Jeeps. This one was used by a California Fire Department.

Vintage Jeep uni-mog style.

What was your favourite from SEMA this year?

Want to see even more vehicles. Check out our Day 1Day 2Day 3 and Day 4 posts from last week during the SEMA show.

SEMA 2014 – Day 4

It’s been an awesome week here in Las Vegas for the SEMA 2014 Show, but like all good things this too must come to an end. Lucky for us there are still lots of trucks and Jeeps that we can check out before we pack it in and head home.

As always, the last 3 photos are my top 3 vehicle builds for the day. And if you want to check out the last 3 days of the SEMA show here is our recap of Day 1Day 2 & Day 3

Yet another Rugged Ridge Jeep Wrangler JK on display at the show.

Throwback with the vintage Ford.

Lifted Chevy sitting proud outside the SEMA show.

Jeep Wrangler JKU in BesTop’s signature yellow.

Another BesTop Jeep Wrangler JK on display at SEMA.

Rhino Linnings shows off what can be done with their product on this Jeep Wrangler JKU.

Military Spec Jeep Wrangler JKU with a name of epic proportions – “Thrasher”.

These Volkswagen’s are never not cool and this one is in perfect shape.

Vintage GMC. In a beautiful brown. Stunning piece of work.

This Jeep Wrangler JKU has been sprayed with blue Rhino Lining, this style is really trending this year (check out the above photo from the Rhino Linings booth). This thing looks like a beast of a 4 wheeler.

Let us know what you think? What’s your favourite vehicle build from todays post? What has been your favourite build all week from SEMA 2014?

And don’t forget to check out what happened earlier this week at the show – Day 1Day 2 & Day 3

SEMA 2014 – Day 3

Yesterday at SEMA we saw lots of cool well done vehicles. We saw retro trucks, a bus that we couldn’t explain and a lot good looking trucks and Jeeps. Well today isn’t much different. There are more awe inspiring trucks and Jeeps along with a good handful of vintage vehicles. I have posted my top 3 vehicles last and as always we want to hear what you guys like. Are these all SEMA worthy? What are your favourites?   First let’s start out with a few vintage trucks. Getting into the 4 wheel drive category. This Land Rover Defender is a beast. I’d love to take this out over a weekend.   Jeeps never go out of style at SEMA.   I’m impressed with how few LED light bars are on this Ford F-150 from Rigid Industries in comparison to what we have seen on other trucks and Jeeps so far this week.   Trophy trucks.   A Ford fit for work.   Sand castles are also SEMA approved so long as they have an automotive theme.   Bumblebee of the Jeep Wranglers.   Body Armor RAM truck.   Ford Raptor SVT doesn’t seem to go out of style at SEMA.   Beautiful Jeep.   Jeep Wrangler JK with the ladies in mind?   Rugged Ridge displaying their new stamped steel front bumper.   Guns on top of Jeeps are totally acceptable at SEMA.   The new Toyota 4Runner Off-Road TRD Pro in white. Its a good looking machine.   A Jeepish looking thing.   Ram trucks always look good.   The classic Willy’s Jeep in immaculate condition.   Has Jeep on the front but I don’t know what it is. Who wants to fill me in?   This AEV (American Expedition Vehicles) RAM 2500 is not only practical, but it’s beautiful too. It’s been styled in a way that only AEV can. I’m a big fan of all the AEV Jeeps (especially the Brute because it’s an awesome mix of a truck & a Jeep) and they haven’t disappointed with this. So this is definitely in my top 3 for today.   I have to give it up to the guys at RBP (Rolling Big Power) for their work on this Ford. Especially because they found a way to tastefully cram more LED light bars on it than I can count. This one is also on my list of top 3 from today.   I’m definitely a sucker for a Jeep. And a Jeep with a roof rack like that screams “take me on an adventure”. Just think of all the Jerry cans you could put on that roof! This is definitely on my top 3 list for today.   Check out our Day 1 and Day 2 posts for more photos from the 2014 SEMA show. And share with us what you think. What are your top 3 from today?

SEMA 2014 – Day 2

Day one at SEMA didn’t disappoint and day 2 is shaping up to be another awesome day here in Las Vegas. If you missed our post and photos from day 1 check them out here. Today we have seen a lot more Jeeps and a few retro vehicle as well. The last 3 are my personal favourites so far today.   Yesterday we saw a lot of RAM trucks. Today we’re seeing lots of GM’s getting the royal treatment.   Monster truck appearance at the SEMA show this year.   Jeep flex.   Another Jeep that looks like it could properly handle anything.   Have you picked up on the LED lighting trend yet? This particular Jeep may have reached “overdone” on the LED mark.   Mercedes G Wagon.   Ford Raptor trophy truck. I definitely wouldn’t mind taking this for a rip.   Retro trucks slammed to the floor are in plenty at this years SEMA show.   I’m not totally sure what this is. Its a retro GM bus with “General Motors” written down the side. Beautiful looking bus. Does anyone have more information on this one?   Chevy 2500 with a Cadillac Escalade front end?   This RAM has a monster front bumper and surprise surprise – more LED lighting inside the bumper.   Pretty sure this Jeep TJ will go wherever you need (want) it to.   Clean white Chevrolet with a few pops of black. Simple, clean, elegant. This one made it in into my top 3 from today.   You gotta show respect to the retro Toyota FJ. This is definitely on my list of favourites from the SEMA show so far today.   Also in the spirit of 4 wheel drive machines is this Jeep with red bed liner paint job. It’s definitely excessive as far as lighting goes but who cares.   What are your favourites from Day 3 at SEMA? Are you a fan of the LED craze? Or do you like to keep it simple?   Stay tuned for our post from Day 3 at the SEMA show.

SEMA 2014 Has Officially Started – Day 1

The doors are now open for the SEMA 2014 show in Las Vegas, NV. And, as usual, there are lots of good looking trucks and Jeeps lining the show floor and we want to keep you guys up to date on all of it. But because the show is closed to the general public we will be sharing pictures of what we’re finding on the floor this year. Here are the first few photos since the show opened this morning and so far it looks like a lot of builders have been playing around with RAM 1500 and 2500’s.   What do you think of these trucks? Are they SEMA worthy?   Check out photos from Day 2 at SEMA.

Timbren @ 2013 SEMA
